Right

Green trees. Blue skys. And a weekend ahead of me.

I always feel more hopeful and happy before a weekend. Such a nice 48 hour reminder that life isn't ALL bad. I've got a pretty decent weekend planned. Tonight Babykins and I will go to a movie (for free! he won a gift certificate for employee of the month). OH! They just opened up a movie theater right by us! I'm excited; all the other theaters were like twenty minutes away. It was ridiculous. Then Saturday I've got all day to clean and run errands while Babykins is at work. I'll miss him, but at least I'll get to have lunch with him! I'll also spend that time getting cute so we can go out with Kari. And then we'll end the weekend with our regular Sunday relaxing routine. Ah! So happy! I feel good again.

Another reason to be hopeful: I've basically been doing a job meant for two people at work, and my boss finally gave the go ahead to hire another person. That means the next few weeks will be hectic with interviews and training, but I am hoping in the end it will be worth it and I won't be so completely overwhelmed all the time!

Three and a half hours until the weekend!

Wrong

I'm at work, attempting to prolong my lunch break as long as possible.

I know I have things pretty good. I have an amazing boyfriend. I have a cozy little home. I have a decent and steady job where I am appreciated (most of the time). And I'm trying to get outside my comfort zone and expand my social circle, something I haven't even attempted in awhile.

But life is still draining. I feel like I put so much of myself into work and friendships. Everyone needs something from me. Everyone is interested in what they can get. And it leaves me empty and feeling worthless. What makes people think that I can just handle all of their shit that they throw at me? What makes people think that I don't need help, that I don't make mistakes, that I don't need to be taken care of? 'Cause they're wrong. They're so wrong.

Alright. Life is hard. Usually I can handle it all. But when I'm running on a few hours of sleep, PMSing, and staring at three weeks worth of work that needs to be done ASAP, it just seems a little bit too hard. All I want to do right now is go home and sleep. And have my Babykins take care of me. Yeah. That sounds pretty good.
